Twenty five years, three names
From Royal Mike to MikeVanDee
A Dutch DJ who came up in the loudest era dance music ever had, and spent the years since working out what it was actually for.
1990s – 2000s · The Netherlands
Royal Mike
Coming up in the Dutch scene alongside the generation that turned trance into a global export, the years of Tiesto and Armin van Buuren. Residencies, festivals, radio and mix series. It was a scene built on scale, and it never entirely fit.
2010s · Israel
MikeVanDee
A move to Israel and a move behind the desk. Years of production rather than performance: writing and mixing for other artists, sound design, vocal work. Not how do I move a crowd, but what is a crowd for.

Back on the floor, on different terms
Original music, written with Tal, played by Michael, in rooms across Israel. Twenty five years of reading a room, spent on a room that is not looking at him.
