The Vision
How AWARE.DANCE came to life. Two long creative paths, one shared field.

AWARE.DANCE grew from the meeting of two long creative paths, through music, gatherings, spoken word and the creation of spaces where people could truly meet.
Some creative works begin with an idea.
This one began with a shared recognition:
Music can be more than entertainment.
It can become a place where movement, beauty, rhythm and presence meet.
Over the years, this recognition took many forms: intimate gatherings, house concerts, dance events, electronic music, spoken word and original productions.
Different expressions. One intention.
Today, it lives as AWARE.DANCE.
Every AWARE.DANCE release is shaped through collaboration. Soluyen and Dew may begin from different sounds, words or ideas, but every creation eventually enters the same shared process.
There are no fixed roles. Both contribute to the writing, voices, sound, arrangement and direction of the music.
Live journeys are currently presented primarily by Michael, drawing on more than twenty-five years of experience as a DJ, producer and event creator. As AWARE.DANCE evolves, its live form may evolve with it, at times led by one, at times embodied by both.
Created together. Experienced as one journey.
AWARE.DANCE quietly points toward a "culture" that seems to be emerging, rather than simply a music project, a brand or a concept bound to identity, ideology or belonging.
A "culture" of seeing clearly.
Tal
Vocals, spoken word, and years of gathering people around music in Israel.
Tal's path unfolded in a different yet complementary way.
For years she created and produced intimate singing gatherings in Israel. Musicians, guest singers, and people from all walks of life gathered in a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt at home. The music wasn't performed for people - it was shared with them.
Today she is also creating electronic music, some with her own voice.

Michael
More than thirty-five years exploring electronic music through production, performance, and event creation.
Michael spent decades collecting and exploring electronic music through production, performance, and event creation. From the early days as Royal Mike, through Mike Vandee, he not only performed at clubs and festivals but also co-founded, created and produced Royal Mellowdies events in the Netherlands (1992-2001), always exploring how music could become more than entertainment.
Royal Mellowdies was born because Marc and Mike (Michael) felt a disconnect with where the "house scene" was moving towards. It felt impersonal, too big, too commercial, too money focussed.
"House is a feeling"
