Questions you may have.
And a few we've asked ourselves.
Do I need to meditate?
Not at all.
You don't have to know anything. You don't have to do anything.
Simply arrive, listen, move if you feel like moving, rest if you don't.
There is nothing to achieve.
What if I don't dance?
Listening is part of the journey too.
AWARE.DANCE isn't measured by movement alone.
Is this a conscious dance event?
Sometimes.
Sometimes it's a club. Sometimes a festival. Sometimes a rooftop. Sometimes a lounge.
The intention stays the same. The setting changes.
Can I just come to dance?
Absolutely.
Many people simply enjoy the music.
Others notice that something about the experience stays with them long after the evening ends.
Both are perfectly welcome.
What kind of music do you play?
Our sound moves through electronic music in many forms.
Deep House, Melodic House, Progressive House, Organic House, Lounge, Festival and everything in between when it serves the journey.
We don't follow genres. We follow atmosphere.
Why don't you ask people to put away their phones?
Presence can't be enforced.
We simply create an atmosphere where many people naturally forget about them.
Do you only play AWARE.DANCE productions?
Our journeys are built primarily around original AWARE.DANCE music.
Occasionally, when a timeless piece by another artist naturally belongs within the arc of a journey, we may weave it in.
We don't choose music based on who made it. We choose it based on what the moment asks for.
The music leads. The DJ serves the journey.
Is AWARE.DANCE a DJ act?
Not in the traditional sense.
We create musical journeys built around original productions, thoughtful sequencing, and a clear intention. The role of the DJ is not to be the center of attention, but to guide the experience through music.
Can electronic music be meaningful without becoming serious?
Absolutely.
Dance music has always brought people together.
We simply explore what else it can carry alongside rhythm, energy and joy.
Sometimes a lyric lingers. Sometimes a melody opens something unexpected. Sometimes it's simply a great night on the dance floor.
Meaning doesn't have to be heavy. It can arrive while smiling, moving and dancing.
Why are lyrics important?
For us, lyrics are another instrument.
Not one that tells a story, but one that opens space.
A rhythm moves the body. A melody touches emotion. A well-placed sentence can gently shift perspective.
We don't use lyrics to tell people what to think. We use them to invite curiosity and leave space for each person to discover their own meaning.
Are your sets improvised?
Some are. Some are carefully crafted from beginning to end. Others evolve in response to the atmosphere, the people, and the moment.
Whether a set is performed live, adapted in real time, or presented as a complete pre-composed experience, the intention remains the same: to create an arc that serves the music and the people listening.
Is the music improvised?
The productions are carefully crafted in the studio.
The journey itself is always alive. Each event has its own atmosphere, and the music is selected and shaped in response to the people, the place, and the moment.
Is there a message behind the music?
Sometimes.
Not every track contains lyrics, but when words appear they are carefully written to invite reflection rather than provide answers.
The music leaves room for your own experience.
Why isn't the DJ the center of attention?
Because the most memorable moments often happen when people stop looking at the DJ and become completely absorbed in the music.
We see the DJ as a guide rather than the destination.
The role isn't to perform at the audience, but to shape an atmosphere where everyone becomes part of the experience.
When the music leads, something beautiful can happen.
Why AWARE.DANCE?
Because we believe music can do more than entertain.
It can bring people together. Open conversations. Shift an atmosphere. Create moments that remain long after the last note fades.
Is this about the DJ, or about the music?
We love great DJs.
We simply believe the most memorable nights are the ones where, at some point, everyone forgets to look at the DJ because they're completely inside the music.
That's the kind of atmosphere we hope to create.
Can you create something for our event?
Yes.
Alongside public performances we create custom musical journeys and original tracks for festivals, retreats, private celebrations, anniversaries, weddings, memorials and other meaningful occasions.
Every commission begins with listening.
